11 a“Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days.

Nehemiah 8:9-12

This Day Is Holy

9And Nehemiah, who was dthe governor, and Ezra ethe priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, f“This day is holy to the Lord your God; gdo not mourn or weep.” For all the people wept as they heard the words of the Law. 10Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and hsend portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” 11So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because ithey had understood the words that were declared to them.

Ezekiel 24:17

17Sigh, but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead. jBind on your turban, and kput your shoes on your feet; do not cover your lips, lnor eat the bread of men.”

Ezekiel 24:22

22And myou shall do as I have done; nyou shall not cover your lips, onor eat the bread of men.

Malachi 2:13

13And this second thing you do. pYou cover the Lord’s altar with tears, with weeping and groaning because he no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.
