Numbers 20:10-12

Moses Strikes the Rock

10Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, aHear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, band water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. 12And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because cyou did not believe in me, dto uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

Job 2:10

10But he said to her, “You speak as one of the efoolish women would speak. fShall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?”
Or disaster; also verse 11
hIn all this Job did not isin with his lips.

Job 26:4

4With whose help have you uttered words,
and whose breath jhas come out from you?

Job 34:4-9

4Let us choose kwhat is right;
let us know among ourselves what is good.
5For Job has said, ‘I am lin the right,
and mGod has taken away my right;
6in spite of my right I am counted a liar;
my wound is incurable, though I am nwithout transgression.’
7What man is like Job,
who odrinks up scoffing like water,
8who travels in company with evildoers
and walks pwith wicked men?
9For qhe has said, ‘It profits a man nothing
that he should take delight in God.’

Job 35:2-4

2 “Do you think this to be just?
Do you say, r‘It is my right before God,’
3that you ask, sWhat advantage have I?
How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
4I will answer you
and tyour friends with you.

Job 42:6

6therefore I despise myself,
and repent
Or  and am comforted
in vdust and ashes.”

Jeremiah 17:9

9 The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
