Numbers 21:13-15

13From there they set out and camped on the other side of the Arnon, which is in the wilderness that extends from the border of the Amorites, for the aArnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites. 14Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord,

Waheb in Suphah, and the valleys of the Arnon,
15and the slope of the valleys
that extends to the seat of bAr,
and leans to the border of Moab.”

Numbers 21:27-30

27Therefore the cballad singers say,

Come to dHeshbon, let it be built;
let the city of Sihon be established.
28For efire came out from fHeshbon,
flame from the city of Sihon.
It devoured gAr of Moab,
and swallowed
Septuagint; Hebrew the lords of
the heights of the Arnon.
29 iWoe to you, O Moab!
You are undone, O people of jChemosh!
He has made his sons fugitives,
and his daughters captives,
to an Amorite king, Sihon.
30So we overthrew them;
Heshbon, as far as kDibon, perished;
and we laid waste as far as Nophah;
fire spread as far as lMedeba.”

Deuteronomy 2:9

9And the Lord said to me, n‘Do not harass Moab or contend with them in battle, for I will not give you any of their land for a possession, because I have given oAr to pthe people of Lot for a possession.’

Deuteronomy 2:19

19And when you approach the territory of the people of Ammon, qdo not harass them or contend with them, for I will not give you any of the land of the people of Ammon as a possession, because I have given it to rthe sons of Lot for a possession.’

10And now behold, the men of sAmmon and Moab and tMount Seir, whom uyou would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, vand whom they avoided and did not destroy
