Numbers 23:19

19 aGod is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

1 Samuel 15:29

29And also the Glory of Israel bwill not lie or have regret, for he is not a man, that he should have regret.”

Isaiah 14:24-27

An Oracle Concerning Assyria

24 The Lord of hosts has sworn:
cAs I have planned,
so shall it be,
and as I have purposed,
so shall it stand,
25that dI will break the Assyrian in my land,
and on my mountains trample him underfoot;
and ehis yoke shall depart from them,
and fhis burden from their shoulder.”
26 This is the purpose that is purposed
concerning the whole earth,
and this is gthe hand that is stretched out
over all the nations.
27 hFor the Lord of hosts has purposed,
and who will annul it?
iHis hand is stretched out,
and who will turn it back?

Isaiah 46:10-11

10 jdeclaring the end from the beginning
and from ancient times things not yet done,
saying, k‘My counsel shall stand,
and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
11 lcalling a bird of prey from the east,
the man of my counsel from a far country.
mI have spoken, and I will bring it to pass;
I have purposed, and I will do it.

Jeremiah 7:16

16“As for you, ndo not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer for them, and do not intercede with me, for I will not hear you.

Jeremiah 14:11-12

11The Lord said to me: o“Do not pray for the welfare of this people. 12Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, pand though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them qby the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”

Jeremiah 15:1-9

The Lord Will Not Relent

1Then the Lord said to me, r“Though sMoses tand Samuel ustood before me, yet my heart would not turn toward this people. Send them out of my sight, and let them go! 2And when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord:

v“‘Those who are for pestilence, to pestilence,
and those who are for the sword, to the sword;
those who are for famine, to famine,
and those who are for captivity, to captivity.’
3 wI will appoint over them four kinds of destroyers, declares the Lord: the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, and xthe birds of the air yand the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy. 4 zAnd I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what aaManasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem.

5 abWho will have pity on you, O Jerusalem,
acor who will grieve for you?
Who will turn aside
to ask about your welfare?
6 adYou have rejected me, declares the Lord;
aeyou keep going backward,
so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you—
afI am weary of relenting.
7 agI have winnowed them with aha winnowing fork
in the gates of the land;
I have bereaved them; I have destroyed my people;
aithey did not turn from their ways.
8I have made their widows more in number
than ajthe sand of the seas;
I have brought against the mothers of young men
a destroyer at noonday;
I have made anguish and terror
fall upon them suddenly.
9 akShe who bore seven has grown feeble;
alshe has fainted away;
amher sun went down while it was yet day;
she has been shamed and disgraced.
And the rest of them I will give to the sword
before their enemies,

declares the Lord.”
