Numbers 23:19

19 aGod is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Jerusalem Captured and Burned

17 cTherefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand. 18 dAnd all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19 eAnd they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels. 20He ftook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, gand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia, 21to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had henjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate iit kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

Isaiah 44:26

26 jwho confirms the word of his servant
and fulfills the counsel of his messengers,
who says of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be inhabited,’
kand of the cities of Judah, ‘They shall be built,
and I will raise up their ruins’;

Jeremiah 26:15

15Only know for certain that if you put me to death, lyou will bring innocent blood upon yourselves and upon this city and its inhabitants, for in truth the Lord sent me to you to speak all these words in your ears.”

Jeremiah 44:28

28 mAnd those who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, nfew in number; and all the remnant of Judah, who came to the land of Egypt to live, oshall know whose word will stand, mine or theirs.
