3And Balaam said to Balak, aStand beside your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the Lord will come bto meet me, and whatever he shows me I will tell you.” And he went to a bare height,

Numbers 23:10-11

10 cWho can count the dust of Jacob
or number the fourth part
Or dust clouds
of Israel?
Let me die ethe death of the upright,
and let my end be like his!”
11And Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? fI took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have done nothing but bless them.”

Numbers 23:19

19 gGod is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Numbers 23:23-24

23For there is no enchantment against Jacob,
no hdivination against Israel;
now it shall be said of Jacob and Israel,
iWhat has God wrought!’
24Behold, a people! jAs a lioness it rises up
and as a lion it lifts itself;
kit does not lie down until it has devoured the prey
and drunk the blood of the slain.”

Numbers 23:27

27And Balak said to Balaam, lCome now, I will take you to another place. Perhaps it will please God that you may curse them for me from there.”

Numbers 23:30

30 mAnd Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

Numbers 29:8-11

8but you shall offer a burnt offering to the Lord, a pleasing aroma: one bull from the herd, one ram, seven male lambs a year old: nsee that they are without blemish. 9And their grain offering shall be of fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths of an ephah for the bull, two tenths for the one ram, 10a tenth for each of the seven lambs: 11also oone male goat for a sin offering, besides pthe sin offering of atonement, and the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings.

Numbers 29:13

13And qyou shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord, thirteen bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old; they shall be without blemish;

Isaiah 1:11

11 rWhat to me is the multitude of your sacrifices?
says the Lord;
I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
and the fat of well-fed beasts;
I do not delight in the blood of bulls,
or of lambs, or of goats.

Hebrews 10:8-10

8When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in ssacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9then he added, tBehold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10And by that will uwe have been sanctified through the offering of vthe body of Jesus Christ wonce for all.
