Numbers 23:7-8

7 And Balaam ^atook up his discourse and said,

“From ^bAram Balak has brought me,
the king of Moab ^cfrom the eastern mountains:
‘Come, ^dcurse Jacob for me,
and come, denounce Israel!’
8 How can I curse whom God has not cursed?
How can I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced?

1 Samuel 17:25-26

25 And the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to ^edefy Israel. And the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches ^fand will give him his daughter and make his father’s house free in Israel.” 26 And David said to the men who stood by him, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away ^gthe reproach from Israel? For who is this ^huncircumcised Philistine, that he should ⁱdefy the armies of ^jthe living God?”
