Numbers 24:17-19

17 ^aI see him, but not now;
I behold him, but not near:
^ba star shall come out of Jacob,
and ^ca scepter shall rise out of Israel;
it shall ^dcrush the forehead ^{▼▼Hebrew corners [of the head]} of Moab
and break down all the sons of Sheth.
18 ^fEdom shall be dispossessed;
^gSeir also, his enemies, shall be dispossessed.
Israel is doing valiantly.
19 And one from Jacob shall exercise dominion
and destroy the survivors of cities!”

The Lord’s Day of Vengeance

he who is splendid in his apparel,

“It is I, speaking in righteousness,
mighty to save.”
2 Why is your ^agapparel red,
and your garments like his ^ahwho treads in the winepress?
3 ^ai“I have trodden the winepress alone,
^ajand from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood ^{▼▼Or their juice; also verse 6} spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
4 ^alFor the day of vengeance was in my heart,
and my year of redemption ^{▼▼Or the year of my redeemed} had come.
5 I looked, but ^anthere was no one to help;
I was appalled, but there was no one to uphold;
so my own arm brought me salvation,
and my wrath upheld me.
6 I trampled down the peoples in my anger;
