The Death of Samson

23Now the lords of the Philistines gathered to offer a great sacrifice to bDagon their god and to rejoice, and they said, “Our god has given Samson our enemy into our hand.” 24And when the people saw him, cthey praised their god. For they said, “Our god has given our enemy into our hand, the ravager of our country, who has killed many of us.”
Or who has multiplied our slain
25And ewhen their hearts were merry, they said, “Call Samson, that he may entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he entertained them. They made him stand between the pillars.

Amos 2:8

8they lay themselves down beside every altar
on garments ftaken in pledge,
and in the house of their God they drink
the wine of those who have been fined.

Amos 8:10

10 gI will turn your feasts into mourning
and all your songs into lamentation;
hI will bring sackcloth on every waist
iand baldness on every head;
jI will make it like the mourning for an only son
and the end of it like a bitter day.

Acts 7:41-42
