Numbers 3:7-8

7They shall keep guard over him and over the whole congregation before the tent of meeting, aas they minister at the tabernacle. 8They shall guard all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, and keep guard over the people of Israel as they minister at the tabernacle.

Numbers 16:9

9is it btoo small a thing for you that the God of Israel has cseparated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do service in the tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them,

1 Chronicles 6:48

48And their brothers the Levites were appointed for all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

1 Chronicles 23:4-5

1 Chronicles 23:28-32

28For their duty was to assist the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, having the care of the courts and the chambers, the cleansing of all that is holy, and any work for the service of the house of God. 29Their duty was also to assist with the hshowbread, the iflour for the grain offering, the wafers of unleavened bread, the jbaked offering, the koffering mixed with oil, and all lmeasures of quantity or size. 30And they were to stand every morning, thanking and praising the Lord, and likewise at evening, 31and whenever burnt offerings were offered to the Lord mon Sabbaths, nnew moons, and feast days, oaccording to the number required of them, regularly before the Lord. 32Thus pthey were to keep charge of the tent of meeting and the sanctuary, and to attend the sons of Aaron, their brothers, for the qservice of the house of the Lord.

1The saying is rtrustworthy: If anyone aspires to sthe office of overseer, he desires a noble task.
