Numbers 32:14

14And behold, you have risen in your fathersplace, a brood of sinful men, to increase still more the fierce anger of the Lord against Israel!

Deuteronomy 29:20-28

20The Lord will not be willing to forgive him, but rather athe anger of the Lord and bhis jealousy will smoke against that man, and the curses written in this book will settle upon him, and the Lord cwill blot out his name from under heaven. 21And the Lord will single him out from all the tribes of Israel for calamity, in accordance with all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law. 22And the next generation, your children who rise up after you, and the foreigner who comes from a far land, dwill say, when they see the afflictions of that land and the sicknesses with which the Lord has made it sick 23the whole land burned out with brimstone and esalt, nothing sown and nothing growing, where no plant can sprout, fan overthrow like that of Sodom and Gomorrah, gAdmah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in his anger and wrath 24all the nations hwill say, iWhy has the Lord done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ 25Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, 26and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. 27Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, jbringing upon it all the curses written in this book, 28and the Lord kuprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and lcast them into another land, as they are this day.’

Greek flesh
will be justified in his sight, since zthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:7-11

The Law and Sin

7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, afI would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if agthe law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, ahseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. aiFor apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10The very commandment ajthat promised life proved to be death to me. 11For sin, akseizing an opportunity through the commandment, aldeceived me and through it killed me.
