Numbers 32:14

14And behold, you have risen in your fathersplace, a brood of sinful men, to increase still more the fierce anger of the Lord against Israel!

Ezra 9:6

Jeremiah 2:17

Jeremiah 9:12-14

12 jWho is the man so wise that he can understand this? To whom has the mouth of the Lord spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined kand laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through? 13And the Lord says: lBecause they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it, 14but mhave stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.

Jeremiah 14:7

7 Though our iniquities testify against us,
act, O Lord, nfor your name’s sake;
ofor our backslidings are many;
pwe have sinned against you.

Jeremiah 16:10-12

10“And when you tell this people all these words, and they say to you, qWhy has the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? What is our iniquity? What is the sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?’ 11then you shall say to them: rBecause your fathers have forsaken me, declares the Lord, and shave gone after other gods and have served and worshiped them, and have forsaken me and have not kept my law, 12and because tyou have done worse than your fathers, for behold, uevery one of you follows his stubborn, evil will, refusing to listen to me.

Jeremiah 30:24

24 vThe fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back
until he has executed and accomplished
the intentions of his mind.
wIn the latter days you will understand this.
