Numbers 32:17-22

17but awe will take up arms, ready to go before the people of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. And our little ones shall live in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land. 18 bWe will not return to our homes until each of the people of Israel has gained his inheritance. 19For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, cbecause our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan to the east.” 20So dMoses said to them, “If you will do this, if you will take up arms to go before the Lord for the war, 21and every armed man of you will pass over the Jordan before the Lord, until he has edriven out his enemies from before him 22and the land is subdued before the Lord; then after that you shall return and be free of obligation to the Lord and to Israel, and fthis land shall be your possession before the Lord.

Philippians 1:21-26

21For to me lto live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 mI am hard pressed between the two. My desire is nto depart and obe with Christ, for that is far better. 24But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. 25 pConvinced of this, qI know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your rprogress and sjoy in the faith, 26so that in me tyou may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.

Philippians 2:4
