33 And ^bMoses gave to them, to the people of Gad and to the people of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land and its cities with their territories, the cities of the land throughout the country.

Deuteronomy 3:12-17

12 “When we took possession of this land at that time, I gave to the Reubenites and the Gadites the territory beginning ^cat Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead with ^dits cities. 13 ^eThe rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, that is, ^fall the region of Argob, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh. (All that portion of Bashan is called the land of ^gRephaim. 14 ^hJair the Manassite took all the region of Argob, that is, Bashan, as far as the border of ⁱthe Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called the villages ^jafter his own name, Havvoth-jair, as it is to this day.) 15 To Machir ^kI gave Gilead, 16 and to the Reubenites ^land the Gadites I gave the territory from Gilead as far as the Valley of the Arnon, with the middle of the valley as a border, as far over as the river Jabbok, ^mthe border of the Ammonites; 17 the Arabah also, with the Jordan as the border, from ⁿChinnereth as far as ^othe Sea of the Arabah, ^pthe Salt Sea, under ^qthe slopes of Pisgah on the east.

The Inheritance East of the Jordan

8 With the other half of the tribe of Manasseh ^{▼▼Hebrew With it} the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, ^swhich Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord gave them: 9 ^tfrom Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and ^uall the tableland of Medeba as far as Dibon; 10 ^vand all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the boundary of the Ammonites; 11 and Gilead, and the ^wregion of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and ^xall Bashan to Salecah; 12 ^yall the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (he alone was left of ^zthe remnant of the Rephaim); ^aathese Moses had struck and driven out.

Joshua 14:2-3

2 Their inheritance was ^abby lot, just as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses for the nine and one-half tribes. 3 ^acFor Moses had given an inheritance to the two and one-half tribes beyond the Jordan, ^adbut to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them.
