Numbers 32:39-40

39 And the sons of ^aMachir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it. 40 And Moses ^bgave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he settled in it.

Deuteronomy 3:12-17

12 “When we took possession of this land at that time, I gave to the Reubenites and the Gadites the territory beginning ^cat Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead with ^dits cities. 13 ^eThe rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, that is, ^fall the region of Argob, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh.
