Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus the Great High Priest

14Since then we have ra great high priest swho has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, tlet us hold fast our confession. 15For we do not have a high priest uwho is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been vtempted as we are, wyet without sin. 16 xLet us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 7:25-28

25Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost
That is, completely; or at all times
zthose who draw near to God aathrough him, since he always lives abto make intercession for them.

26For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, acholy, innocent, unstained, adseparated from sinners, and aeexalted above the heavens. 27He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, affirst for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this agonce for all when he offered up himself. 28For the law appoints men ahin their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made aiperfect forever.
