Numbers 4:15

15And when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, as the camp sets out, after that athe sons of Kohath shall come to carry these, bbut they must not touch the holy things, lest they die. These are the things of the tent of meeting that the sons of Kohath are to carry.

Joshua 3:3

3and commanded the people, “As soon as you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being carried by cthe Levitical priests, then you shall set out from your place and follow it.

Joshua 3:14-17

14So when the people set out from their tents to pass over the Jordan with the priests bearing dthe ark of the covenant before the people, 15and as soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and ethe feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water (now fthe Jordan overflows all its banks gthroughout the time of harvest), 16the waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, at Adam, the city that is beside hZarethan, and those flowing down toward the Sea of ithe Arabah, jthe Salt Sea, were completely cut off. And the people passed over opposite Jericho. 17Now the priests bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, kand all Israel was passing over on dry ground until all the nation finished passing over the Jordan.

Joshua 6:12

12Then Joshua rose early in the morning, and lthe priests took up the ark of the Lord.

1 Kings 8:3

3And all the elders of Israel came, and mthe priests took up the ark.

1 Chronicles 15:2

2Then David said that no one but the Levites may carry nthe ark of God, for the Lord had chosen them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister to him forever.

1 Chronicles 15:12-15

12and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites. oConsecrate yourselves, you and your brothers, so that you may bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel, pto the place that I have prepared for it. 13 qBecause you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.” 14So the priests and the Levites consecrated themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel. 15And the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders rwith the poles, sas Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord.
