Isaiah 63:1-4

The Lord’s Day of Vengeance

1 Who is this who comes from bEdom,
in crimsoned garments from cBozrah,
he who is splendid in his apparel,
dmarching in the greatness of his strength?
“It is I, speaking in righteousness,
mighty to save.”
2 Why is your eapparel red,
and your garments like his fwho treads in the winepress?
3 g“I have trodden the winepress alone,
hand from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood
Or  their juice; also verse 6
spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
4 jFor the day of vengeance was in my heart,
and my year of redemption
Or the year of my redeemed
had come.

Romans 7:14-24

14For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, lsold under sin. 15For I do not understand my own actions. For mI do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with nthe law, that it is good. 17So now oit is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18For I know that nothing good dwells pin me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 qFor I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20Now if I do what I do not want, rit is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

21So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22For sI delight in the law of God, tin my inner being, 23but I see in my members uanother law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from vthis body of death?

1 Corinthians 9:7

7 wWho serves as a soldier at his own expense? xWho plants a vineyard without eating any of its fruit? Or who tends a flock without getting some of the milk?

2 Corinthians 6:7

7by ytruthful speech, and zthe power of God; with aathe weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left;

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4For the abweapons of acour warfare are not of the flesh but have addivine power aeto destroy strongholds. 5We destroy arguments and afevery lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to agobey Christ,

Ephesians 6:10-19

The Whole Armor of God

10Finally, ahbe strong in the Lord and in aithe strength of his might. 11 ajPut on akthe whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against althe schemes of the devil. 12For amwe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against anthe rulers, against the authorities, against aothe cosmic powers over apthis present darkness, against aqthe spiritual forces of evil arin the heavenly places. 13Therefore astake up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in atthe evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14Stand therefore, auhaving fastened on the belt of truth, and avhaving put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15and, awas shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16In all circumstances take up axthe shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all aythe flaming darts of azthe evil one; 17and take bathe helmet of salvation, and bbthe sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18praying bcat all times bdin the Spirit, bewith all prayer and supplication. To that end, bfkeep alert with all perseverance, making bgsupplication for all the saints, 19and bhalso for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth biboldly to proclaim bjthe mystery of the gospel,
