Numbers 9:1-5

The Passover Celebrated

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, ^ain the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, 2 “Let the people of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time. 3 ^bOn the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time; according to all its statutes and all its rules you shall keep it.” 4 So Moses told the people of Israel that they should keep the Passover. 5 And they kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at twilight, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the people of Israel did.

Ezekiel 12:3

3 As for you, son of man, prepare for yourself ^can exile’s baggage, and go into exile by day ^din their sight. You shall go like an exile from your place to another place ^ein their sight. ^fPerhaps they will understand, though ^{▼▼Or will see that} they are a rebellious house.

Ezekiel 12:6-16

6 In their sight you shall lift the baggage upon your shoulder and carry it out at dusk. You shall cover your face that you may not see the land, for I have made you ^ha sign for the house of Israel.”

7 ⁱAnd I did as I was commanded. ^jI brought out my baggage by day, as baggage for exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands. I brought out my baggage at dusk, carrying it on my shoulder in their sight.

8 In the morning the word of the Lord came to me: 9 ^k“Son of man, has not the house of Israel, ^lthe rebellious house, said to you, ^m‘What are you doing?’ 10 Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: This oracle concerns ^{▼▼Or This burden is} ^othe prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are in it.’ ^{▼▼Hebrew in the midst of them} 11 Say, ^q‘I am a sign for you: ^ras I have done, so shall it be done to them. They shall go into exile, into captivity.’ 12 ^sAnd the prince who is among them shall lift his baggage upon his shoulder at dusk, and shall go out. ^tThey shall dig through the wall to bring him out through it. ^uHe shall cover his face, that he may not see the land with his eyes. 13 ^vAnd I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare. And ^wI will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, ^xyet he shall not see it, and he shall die there. 14 ^yAnd I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops, ^zand I will unsheathe the sword after them. 15 ^aaAnd they shall know that I am the Lord, when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them among the countries. 16 ^abBut I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they go, ^acand may know that I am the Lord.”
