Philippians 3:1-9

Righteousness Through Faith in Christ

1 Finally, my brothers, ^{▼▼Or brothers and sisters; also verses 13, 17} ^brejoice in the Lord. ^cTo write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you.

2 Look out for ^dthe dogs, look out for ^ethe evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. 3 For ^fwe are the circumcision, ^gwho worship ^hby the Spirit of God ^{▼▼Some manuscripts God in spirit} and ^jglory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh— 4 ^kthough I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 ^lcircumcised on the eighth day, ^mof the people of Israel, ⁿof the tribe of Benjamin, ^oa Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, ^pa Pharisee; 6 ^qas to zeal, ^ra persecutor of the church; ^sas to righteousness under the law, ^{▼▼Greek in the law} blameless. 7 But ^uwhatever gain I had, ^vI counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of ^wthe surpassing worth of ^xknowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I ^yhave suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having ^za righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but ^aathat which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—
