24 ^aBecause I have called and ^byou refused to listen,
have ^cstretched out my hand and no one has heeded,

Isaiah 50:2

2 ^dWhy, when I came, was there no man;
why, when I called, was there no one to answer?
^eIs my hand shortened, that it cannot redeem?
Or have I no power to deliver?
^fBehold, by my rebuke ^gI dry up the sea,
^hI make the rivers a desert;
ⁱtheir fish stink for lack of water
and die of thirst.

Isaiah 65:12

12 I will destine you to the sword,
and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter,
^jbecause, when I called, you did not answer;
when I spoke, you did not listen,
^kbut you did what was evil in my eyes
and chose what I did not delight in.”

Jeremiah 7:13

Matthew 22:2-7
