Proverbs 1:7

7 aThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 1:22-29

22“How long, O bsimple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will cscoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools dhate knowledge?
23If you turn at my reproof,
Or Will you turn away at my reproof?

behold, I will fpour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you.
24 gBecause I have called and hyou refused to listen,
have istretched out my hand and no one has heeded,
25because you have jignored all my counsel
and kwould have none of my reproof,
26I also lwill laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when mterror strikes you,
27when terror strikes you like na storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when distress and anguish come upon you.
28 oThen they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
29Because they phated knowledge
and qdid not choose the fear of the Lord,

Jeremiah 9:6

6Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit,
rthey refuse to know me, declares the Lord.

John 3:19-21

19 sAnd this is the judgment: tthe light has come into the world, and upeople loved the darkness rather than the light because vtheir works were evil. 20 wFor everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, xlest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever ydoes what is true zcomes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Romans 1:28

28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, aaGod gave them up to aba debased mind to do acwhat ought not to be done.
