bA wise son makes a glad father,
cbut a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.

Proverbs 15:20

20 dA wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish man despises his mother.

Proverbs 23:24-25

24 eThe father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.
25 fLet your father and mother be glad;
let gher who bore you rejoice.

Proverbs 29:3

3He who hloves wisdom makes his father glad,
but ia companion of prostitutes jsquanders his wealth.

1 Thessalonians 2:19-20

Walking in Truth and Love

4 pI rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.

Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verses 5, 10
came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.
4I have no greater joy than to hear that smy children are walking in the truth.
