16 ^aThe vexation of a fool is known at once,
but the prudent ignores an insult.

23 ^bA prudent man conceals knowledge,
^cbut the heart of fools proclaims folly.

^ebut a fool flaunts his folly.

2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge,
but ^fthe mouths of fools pour out folly.

28 The heart of the righteous ^gponders how to answer,

11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back.
