Isaiah 1:11-16

11 fWhat to me is the multitude of your sacrifices?

or of lambs, or of goats.

who has required of you
this trampling of my courts?
13Bring no more vain offerings;
incense is an abomination to me.

Isaiah 66:3

3 r“He who slaughters an ox is like one who kills a man;
he who sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog’s neck;
he who presents a grain offering, like one who offers spig’s blood;
he who makes a memorial offering of frankincense, like one who blesses an idol.
tThese have chosen their own ways,
and their soul delights in their abominations;

Jeremiah 6:20

20 uWhat use to me is vfrankincense that comes from wSheba,
or sweet cane from a distant land?
xYour burnt offerings are not acceptable,
nor your sacrifices pleasing to me.

Jeremiah 7:21-23

21Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: yAdd your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. 22For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them zconcerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. 23But this command I gave them: aaObey my voice, and abI will be your God, and you shall be my people. acAnd walk in all the way that I command you, adthat it may be well with you.’

Hosea 8:13

13As for my sacrificial offerings,
aethey sacrifice meat and eat it,
but the Lord does not accept them.
