Proverbs 17:3

3 aThe crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold,
band the Lord tests hearts.

Isaiah 1:25-27

25 cI will turn my hand against you
and will smelt away your ddross as with lye
and remove all your alloy.
26And I will restore your judges eas at the first,
and your counselors as at the beginning.
Afterward fyou shall be called the city of righteousness,
the faithful city.”
27 gZion shall be redeemed by justice,
and those in her who repent, by righteousness.

Malachi 3:3

3He will sit has a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring iofferings in righteousness to the Lord.
Or and they will belong to the Lord, bringers of an offering in righteousness

2 Timothy 2:20-21

20Now in ka great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, lsome for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21Therefore, mif anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable,
Greek  from these things
he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, oready for every good work.

1 Peter 1:7

7so that pthe tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes qthough it is tested by rfire—may be found to result in spraise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
