The Value of Wisdom

1 ^aMy son, ^bif you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
2 making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
3 yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice ^cfor understanding,
4 if you seek it like ^dsilver
and search for it as for ^ehidden treasures,
5 then ^fyou will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.

10 for wisdom will come into your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom

13 ^gBlessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding,
14 ^hfor the gain from her is better than gain from silver
and her profit better than ⁱgold.
15 She is more precious than ^jjewels,
and ^knothing you desire can compare with her.
16 ^lLong life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are ^mriches and honor.
17 Her ⁿways are ways of pleasantness,
and all her paths are peace.
