Proverbs 2:1-6

The Value of Wisdom

1 aMy son, bif you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
2making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
3yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice cfor understanding,
4if you seek it like dsilver
and search for it as for ehidden treasures,
5then fyou will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
6For gthe Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

Matthew 13:11

11And he answered them, hβ€œTo you it has been given to know ithe secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

The Parable of the Hidden Treasure

44β€œThe kingdom of heaven jis like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy khe goes and sells all that he has and lbuys that field.

Ephesians 5:15-17

15 pLook carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 qmaking the best use of the time, because rthe days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what sthe will of the Lord is.
