Proverbs 20:9

9 ^aWho can say, “I have made my heart pure;
I am clean from my sin”?

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, ^ban Israelite indeed, ^cin whom there is no deceit!”

9 and ^dhe made no distinction between us and them, ^ehaving cleansed their hearts ^fby faith.

6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel,

8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but ^gthe children of the promise are counted as offspring.

3 And everyone who ^hthus hopes in him ⁱpurifies himself as he is pure.
