Proverbs 21:13

13 aWhoever closes his ear to the cry of the poor
will himself call out and not be answered.

Isaiah 3:14-15

14The Lord will enter into judgment
with the belders and princes of his people:
“It is you who chave devoured
Or grazed over; compare Exodus 22:5
the vineyard,
ethe spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15What do you mean by fcrushing my people,
by grinding the face of the poor?”

declares the Lord God of hosts.

Ezekiel 18:12

12oppresses the poor and needy, gcommits robbery, hdoes not restore the pledge, ilifts up his eyes to the idols, jcommits abomination,

Amos 5:11-12

11Therefore because you ktrample on
Or  you tax
the poor
and you exact taxes of grain from him,
myou have built houses of hewn stone,
but you shall not dwell in them;
nyou have planted pleasant vineyards,
but you shall not drink their wine.
12For I know how many are your transgressions
and how great are your sins
you who afflict the righteous, who otake a bribe,
and pturn aside the needy qin the gate.

Amos 8:4-6

4 Hear this, ryou who trample on the needy
and bring the poor of the land to an end,
5saying, “When will sthe new moon be over,
that we may sell grain?
And tthe Sabbath,
that we may offer wheat for sale,
that we may make uthe ephah small and the shekel
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters; a  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
great
and deal deceitfully with false balances,
6that we may buy the poor for wsilver
and the needy for a pair of sandals
and sell the chaff of the wheat?”

Micah 3:2-4

2you xwho hate the good and love the evil,
ywho tear the skin from off my people
Hebrew  from off them

and their flesh from off their bones,
3 aawho eat the flesh of my people,
and flay their skin from off them,
and break their bones in pieces
and chop them up like meat in a pot,
like flesh in a cauldron.
4 abThen they will cry to the Lord,
but he will not answer them;
ache will hide his face from them at that time,
because they have made their deeds evil.
