Proverbs 23:11

11for their aRedeemer is strong;
he will bplead their cause against you.

Isaiah 1:16-17

16 cWash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
dcease to do evil,
17learn to do good;
eseek justice,
correct oppression;
fbring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.

Isaiah 1:23

23Your princes are rebels
and companions of thieves.
Everyone gloves a bribe
and runs after gifts.
hThey do not bring justice to the fatherless,
and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

Jeremiah 5:28

28 ithey have grown fat and sleek.
They know no bounds in deeds of evil;
jthey judge not with justice
the cause of the fatherless, to make it prosper,
and they do not defend the rights of the needy.

Jeremiah 22:15-17

15Do you think you are a king
because you compete in cedar?
Did not your father eat and drink
and kdo justice and righteousness?
lThen it was well with him.
16 mHe judged the cause of the poor and needy;
nthen it was well.
Is not this oto know me?
declares the Lord.
17But you have eyes and heart
only for your dishonest gain,
pfor shedding innocent blood,
and for practicing oppression and violence.”

Ezekiel 22:7

7Father and mother qare treated with contempt in you; the sojourner rsuffers extortion in your midst; the fatherless and the widow sare wronged in you.

Ezekiel 22:12

12In you tthey take bribes to shed blood; uyou take interest and profit
That is, profit that comes from charging interest to the poor (compare Leviticus 25:36)
and make gain of your neighbors by extortion; but wme you have forgotten, declares the Lord God.

Ezekiel 22:29

29The people of the land xhave practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy, and yhave extorted from the sojourner without justice.
