19 Hear, my son, and ^abe wise,
and ^bdirect your heart in the way.

or among ^egluttonous eaters of meat,

Isaiah 5:11

11 Woe to those who ^frise early in the morning,
that they may run after strong drink,
who tarry late into the evening
as wine inflames them!

Isaiah 28:1-3

Judgment on Ephraim and Jerusalem

1 Ah, the proud crown of ^gthe drunkards of Ephraim,
and the fading flower of its glorious beauty,
which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!
2 Behold, the Lord has ^hone who is mighty and strong;
like a storm of hail, a destroying tempest,

he casts down to the earth with his hand.

Habakkuk 2:15
