Proverbs 24:10-12

10 If you afaint in the day of adversity,
your strength is small.
11 bRescue those who are being taken away to death;
hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
12If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,”
cdoes not he who dweighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who ekeeps watch over your soul know it,
and will he not repay man faccording to his work?

Matthew 16:24-25

Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

24Then Jesus told his disciples, If anyone would come after me, let him gdeny himself and htake up his cross and follow me. 25For iwhoever would save his life
The same Greek word can mean either soul or  life, depending on the context; twice in this verse and twice in verse 26
will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

John 12:25

25 kWhoever loves his life loses it, and lwhoever mhates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Philippians 2:30

30for he nearly died nfor the work of Christ, risking his life oto complete what was lacking in your service to me.

Hebrews 12:3

Do Not Grow Weary

3 pConsider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or qfainthearted.
