2 Corinthians 9:6-15

The Cheerful Giver

6 The point is this: ^fwhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully ^{▼▼Greek with blessings; twice in this verse} will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, ^hnot reluctantly or under compulsion, for ⁱGod loves a cheerful giver. 8 And ^jGod is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency ^{▼▼Or all contentment} in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written,

^l“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
10 He who supplies ^mseed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and ⁿincrease the harvest of your righteousness. 11 ^oYou will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which ^pthrough us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying ^qthe needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 13 By their approval of this service, ^rthey ^{▼▼Or you} will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your ^tconfession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, 14 while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15 ^uThanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

Philippians 4:15-19

15 And you Philippians yourselves know that ^vin the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, ^wno church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. 16 Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. 17 ^xNot that I seek the gift, but I seek ^ythe fruit that increases to your credit. ^{▼▼Or I seek the profit that accrues to your account} 18 I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, ^aahaving received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, ^aba fragrant offering, ^aca sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. 19 And my God ^adwill supply every need of yours ^aeaccording to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 6:10

10 For ^afGod is not unjust so as to overlook ^agyour work and the love that you have shown for his name in ^ahserving the saints, as you still do.
