Isaiah 8:20

For which is greater, the gift or rthe altar that makes the gift sacred? 20So whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by shim who dwells in it. 22And whoever swears by theaven swears by uthe throne of God and by vhim who sits upon it.23 w“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! 25 ac“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For adyou clean the outside of aethe cup and the plate, but inside they are full of afgreed and self-indulgence. 26You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of agthe cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.
27 ah“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like aiwhitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and ajall uncleanness. 28So you also akoutwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of alhypocrisy and lawlessness.
Luke 8:10
