13There are thosehow alofty are their eyes,
how high their eyelids lift!

Isaiah 3:9

Judgment on Ephraim and Jerusalem

1 Ah, the proud crown of ethe drunkards of Ephraim,
and the fading flower of its glorious beauty,
which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!
2Behold, the Lord has fone who is mighty and strong;
like a storm of hail, a destroying tempest,
like ga storm of mighty, overflowing waters,
he casts down to the earth with his hand.
3 hThe proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim
will be trodden underfoot;

Hosea 7:10

10 iThe pride of Israel testifies to his face;
Or in his presence

kyet they do not return to the Lord their God,
nor seek him, for all this.
