Proverbs 31:3-5

3Do anot give your strength to women,
your ways to those bwho destroy kings.
4 cIt is not for kings, O Lemuel,
it is not for kings dto drink wine,
or for rulers to take estrong drink,
5lest they drink and forget what has been decreed
and fpervert the rights of all the afflicted.

Ecclesiastes 10:16-17

16 gWoe to you, O land, when your king is a child,
and your princes feast in the morning!
17Happy are you, O land, when your king is the son of the nobility,
and your princes feast at the proper time,
for strength, and not for hdrunkenness!

Isaiah 28:6-7

And the king said to the girl, “Ask me for whatever you wish, and I will give it to you.” 23And he vowed to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, ahup to half of my kingdom.” 24And she went out and said to her mother, “For what should I ask?” And she said, “The head of John the Baptist.”
