Acts 9:36

Dorcas Restored to Life

36Now there was in aJoppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.
The Aramaic name  Tabitha and the Greek name  Dorcas both mean gazelle
She was full of cgood works and acts of charity.

Acts 9:39

39So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to dthe upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics
Greek chiton, a long garment worn under the cloak next to the skin
and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them.

Ephesians 2:10

10For fwe are his workmanship, gcreated in Christ Jesus hfor good works, iwhich God prepared beforehand, jthat we should walk in them.

1 Timothy 5:6-10

6but kshe who is self-indulgent is ldead even while she lives. 7 mCommand these things as well, so that they may be without reproach. 8But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for nmembers of his household, he has odenied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

9Let a widow be enrolled if she is not less than sixty years of age, having been pthe wife of one husband,
Or a woman of one man
10and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has rshown hospitality, shas washed the feet of the saints, has tcared for the afflicted, and has udevoted herself to every good work.

Titus 2:14

14 vwho gave himself for us to wredeem us from all lawlessness and xto purify for himself ya people for his own possession who are zzealous for good works.

Titus 3:8

8The saying is aatrustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful abto devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

1 Peter 2:12

12 acKeep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, adthey may see your good deeds and glorify God on aethe day of visitation.
