A Father’s Wise Instruction

1 aHear, O sons, a father’s instruction,
and be attentive, that you may bgain

Proverbs 8:32-36

32 “And now, dO sons, listen to me:
eblessed are those who keep my ways.
33 fHear instruction and be wise,
and do not neglect it.
34 gBlessed is the one who listens to me,
watching daily at my gates,
waiting beside my doors.
35For hwhoever finds me ifinds life
and jobtains favor from the Lord,
36but he who fails to find me kinjures himself;
all who lhate me mlove death.”

Proverbs 22:17-21

Words of the Wise

17 nIncline your ear, and hear othe words of the wise,
pand apply your heart to my knowledge,
18for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you,
if all of them are ready on your lips.
19That your trust may be in the Lord,
I have made them known to you today, even to you.
20Have I not written for you qthirty sayings
of counsel and knowledge,
21to rmake you know what is right and true,
that you may give a true answer to those who sent you?

Hebrews 12:25

25See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For sif they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven.
