Proverbs 6:10-11

10 aA little sleep, a little slumber,
ba little cfolding of the hands to rest,
11 dand poverty will come upon you like a robber,
and want like an armed man.

Proverbs 19:15

15 eSlothfulness casts into fa deep sleep,
and gan idle person will suffer hunger.

Matthew 25:3-10

3For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5As the bridegroom hwas delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6But iat midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7Then all those virgins rose and jtrimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and kthose who were ready went in with him to lthe marriage feast, and mthe door was shut.

Matthew 25:24-28

24He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be na hard man, reaping owhere you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, pyou have what is yours.’ 26But his master answered him, ‘You qwicked and rslothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.

2 Peter 1:5-11

5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith swith virtue,
Or excellence; twice in this verse

6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control vwith steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness wwith brotherly affection, and brotherly affection xwith love. 8For if these qualities

are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or zunfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and adelection, for if you practice these qualities aeyou will never fall.
11For in this way there will be richly provided for you afan entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
