Proverbs 8:18-19

18 aRiches and honor are with me,
benduring wealth and crighteousness.
19My fruit is dbetter than egold, even fine gold,
and my yield than fchoice silver.

Romans 13:12-14

12 gThe night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us hcast off ithe works of darkness and jput on the armor of light. 13 kLet us walk properly as in the daytime, lnot in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, mnot in quarreling and jealousy. 14But nput on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, oto gratify its desires.

Ephesians 4:17-20

The New Life

17Now this I say and ptestify in the Lord, qthat you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, rin the futility of their minds. 18They sare darkened in their understanding, talienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to utheir hardness of heart. 19They vhave become callous and whave given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20But that is not the way you xlearned Christ!—

Ephesians 5:8-14

8for yat one time you were zdarkness, but now you are light in the Lord. aaWalk as children of light 9(for abthe fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10and actry to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 adTake no part in the aeunfruitful afworks of darkness, but instead agexpose them. 12For ahit is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13But when aianything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

ajAwake, O sleeper,
and akarise from the dead,
and alChrist will shine on you.”

Philippians 2:15

15that you may be blameless and innocent, amchildren of God anwithout blemish aoin the midst of apa crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine aqas lights in the world,

1 Thessalonians 5:4-8

4But you arare not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 5For you are all aschildren
Or sons; twice in this verse
of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.
6So then aulet us not sleep, as others do, but let us avkeep awake and awbe sober. 7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, axare drunk at night. 8But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, ayhaving put on the breastplate of azfaith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
