Proverbs 8:3-29

3beside athe gates in front of bthe town,
at the entrance of the portals she cries aloud:
4“To you, O cmen, I call,
and my cry is to dthe children of man.
5O esimple ones, learn fprudence;
O gfools, learn sense.
6Hear, for I will speak hnoble things,
and from my lips will come iwhat is right,
7for my jmouth will utter truth;
wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8All the words of my mouth are righteous;
there is nothing ktwisted or crooked in them.
9They are all lstraight to him who understands,
and right to those who find knowledge.
10 mTake my instruction instead of silver,
and knowledge rather than choice gold,
11 nfor wisdom is better than jewels,
and oall that you may desire cannot compare with her.
12 I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
and I find knowledge and pdiscretion.
13 qThe fear of the Lord is rhatred of evil.
sPride and arrogance and the way of evil
and tperverted speech I hate.
14I have ucounsel and vsound wisdom;
I have insight; wI have strength.
15By me xkings reign,
and rulers decree what is just;
16by me princes rule,
and nobles, all who govern justly.
