The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man
The singular Hebrew word for  man (ish) is used here to portray a representative example of a godly person; see Preface

who bwalks not in cthe counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in dthe way of sinners,
nor esits in fthe seat of gscoffers;
2but his hdelight is in the law
Or instruction
of the Lord,
and on his jlaw he meditates day and night.
3 He is like ka tree
planted by lstreams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its mleaf does not wither.
nIn all that he does, he prospers.

Psalms 15

Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill?

A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, owho shall sojourn in your ptent?
Who shall dwell on your qholy hill?
2 He who rwalks blamelessly and sdoes what is right
and tspeaks truth in his heart;
3who udoes not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor vtakes up a reproach against his friend;
4 win whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who xswears to his own hurt and does not change;
5who ydoes not put out his money at interest
and zdoes not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be aamoved.
