The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man
The singular Hebrew word for  man (ish) is used here to portray a representative example of a godly person; see Preface

who bwalks not in cthe counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in dthe way of sinners,
nor esits in fthe seat of gscoffers;
2but his hdelight is in the law
Or instruction
of the Lord,
and on his jlaw he meditates day and night.
3 He is like ka tree
planted by lstreams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its mleaf does not wither.
nIn all that he does, he prospers.
4The wicked are not so,
but are like ochaff that the wind drives away.

Psalms 21:3-5

3For you pmeet him with rich blessings;
you set qa crown of rfine gold upon his head.
4He asked life of you; you sgave it to him,
tlength of days forever and ever.
5His uglory is great through your salvation;
vsplendor and majesty you bestow on him.

Psalms 23:6

6Surely
Or Only
goodness and mercy
Or steadfast love
shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall ydwell
Or  shall return to dwell
in the house of the Lord
aaforever.

4 acOne thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may addwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon aethe beauty of the Lord
and to inquire
Or meditate
in his temple.

Psalms 61:4

4 Let me agdwell in your tent forever!
Let me take refuge under ahthe shelter of your wings!  Selah

Psalms 84:4

4 aiBlessed are those who dwell in your house,
ever ajsinging your praise!  Selah

Psalms 92:13

13They are planted in the house of the Lord;
they flourish in akthe courts of our God.

John 3:3-5

3Jesus answered him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is alborn amagain

he cannot aosee the kingdom of God.”
