Psalms 1:3

3 He is like aa tree
planted by bstreams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its cleaf does not wither.
dIn all that he does, he prospers.

Jeremiah 5:24

24They do not say in their hearts,
‘Let us fear the Lord our God,
ewho gives the rain in its season,
the autumn rain and the spring rain,
and keeps for us
fthe weeks appointed for the harvest.’

Matthew 21:34-36

34When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants

to the tenants hto get his fruit.
35 iAnd the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and jstoned another. 36 kAgain he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them.

Mark 12:2-5

2When the season came, he sent a servant

to the tenants to get from them some of the fruit of the vineyard.
3 mAnd they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 nAgain ohe sent to them another servant, and pthey struck him on the head and qtreated him shamefully. 5 rAnd he sent another, and him they killed. And so with many others: some they beat, and some they killed.
