but are like achaff that the wind drives away.

2As bsmoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;
cas wax melts before fire,
so the wicked shall perish before God!

Psalms 83:12-17

12who said, d“Let us take possession for ourselves
of the pastures of God.”
13 O my God, make them like ewhirling dust,
Or  like a tumbleweed

like gchaff before the wind.
14As hfire consumes the forest,
as the flame isets the mountains ablaze,
15so may you pursue them jwith your tempest
and terrify them with your hurricane!
16 kFill their faces with shame,
that they may seek your name, O Lord.
17Let them be lput to shame and dismayed forever;
let them perish in disgrace,

Isaiah 17:13

13 mThe nations roar like the roaring of many waters,
nbut he will rebuke them, and they will flee far away,
chased olike chaff on the mountains before the wind
and pwhirling dust before the storm.

Isaiah 41:15-16

15 qBehold, I make of you a threshing sledge,
new, sharp, and having teeth;
you shall thresh rthe mountains and crush them,
and you shall make the hills like chaff;
16 syou shall winnow them, and tthe wind shall carry them away,
and the tempest shall scatter them.
uAnd you shall rejoice in the Lord;
in the Holy One of Israel you shall glory.

Daniel 2:35

35Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became vlike the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that wnot a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became xa great mountain yand filled the whole earth.
