1 Why, O Lord, do you stand ^afar away?
Why ^bdo you hide yourself in ^ctimes of trouble?

Psalms 42:9

9 I say to God, ^dmy rock:
“Why have you forgotten me?
^eWhy do I go mourning
because of the oppression of the enemy?”

Psalms 42:11

11 ^fWhy are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
