Why Do You Hide Yourself?
1 Why, O Lord, do you stand afar away?Why bdo you hide yourself in ctimes of trouble?
Psalms 44:22-23
22Yet dfor your sake we are killed all the day long;we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.
23 eAwake! Why are you sleeping, O Lord?
Rouse yourself! fDo not reject us forever!
Isaiah 51:9-10
9 gAwake, awake, hput on strength,O iarm of the Lord;
awake, jas in days of old,
the generations of long ago.
Was it not you who cut kRahab in pieces,
who pierced lthe dragon?
10 mWas it not you who dried up the sea,
the waters of the great deep,
who made the depths of the sea a way
for the redeemed to pass over?
