Why Do You Hide Yourself?

1 Why, O Lord, do you stand ^afar away?
Why ^bdo you hide yourself in ^ctimes of trouble?
2 In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor;
let them ^dbe caught in the schemes that they have devised.

Psalms 22:1-2

Why Have You Forsaken Me?

1 ^eMy God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so ^ffar from saving me, from the words of my ^ggroaning?
2 O my God, I cry by ^hday, but you do not answer,
and by night, but I find no rest.

Psalms 77:7-10

7 “Will the Lord ⁱspurn forever,
and never again ^jbe favorable?
8 Has his steadfast love forever ceased?
Are his ^kpromises at an end for all time?

Isaiah 40:27-28

27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
and speak, O Israel,
^p“My way is hidden from the Lord,

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is ^rthe everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
^shis understanding is unsearchable.

Isaiah 49:14-16
