Mark 7:21-23

21For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, emurder, adultery, 22coveting, wickedness, deceit, fsensuality, genvy, hslander, ipride, jfoolishness. 23 kAll these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

Do Not Be Anxious

22And he said to his disciples, wTherefore I tell you, xdo not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 yConsider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. zOf how much more value are you than the birds! 25And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his aaspan of life?
Or  a single cubit to his stature; a cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
26If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? 27Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,

28But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, aeO you of little faith! 29And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor afbe worried. 30For agall the nations of the world seek after these things, and ahyour Father knows that you need them. 31Instead, aiseek ajhis

1 Timothy 3:3

3not a drunkard, not violent but augentle, not quarrelsome, avnot a lover of money.

1 Timothy 6:9-10

9But awthose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, axinto a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that ayplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of azall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
